Watch yourself as you throw items into the recycle bin. Not everything can be recycled. Some waste management companies only accept certain kinds of plastics depending on the number printed on the packaging. Call first before you mix up your plastics willy-nilly. Be sure to snip the plastic rings used in six-packs of soda and beer. These rings harm marine life and birds when tossed in the trash intact. Cut them up into tiny pieces so they don't accidentally turn into a deadly accessory.
