Today you can instigate change starting with your feet. Look for eco-friendly leather shoes that are treated with vegetable-based products such as plant dyes. If leather isn't what you want, find shoes made from hemp, natural fibers, or organic cotton canvas. Some shoes also are made from recycled rubber and used car tires. Steer clear of shoes made from pvc or pu plastics that are petroleum based.
