On monday, the more cakes you have in the oven the better. You never can tell how a cake is going to turn out. And who knows? Maybe they'll all rise beautifully and you'll have a surplus. On tuesday and wednesday, you'll have little patience for flour and eggs, what with all the deep thinking you're doing. But after a long day's contemplation, knowing there's a cake in the fridge for dessert if you want it, is a true pleasure. To extend this metaphor even more, thursday and friday are "have your cake and eat it too" days. Lucky you! But you have work to do this weekend.
