Stick to showers to keep water usage to a minimum. The average bath uses on average 20 gallons of water, whereas a shower only uses half that. However, don't overdo it! Long showers can amount to the same amount of water waste. A good way to gauge a shower is by playing a 5 to 6-minute song in the bathroom and getting out of the shower at the end of the tune. Save more water by installing a low-flow showerhead.
