The sun can wreak havoc on your skin. During that hike, apply moleskin to sensitive skin to prevent blisters. But if they're already starting, slather it with petroleum jelly, and soak in epsom salts when you return home. If you come down with a case of prickly heat, slather on the hydrocortisone or camphor, and take a lukewarm, oatmeal bath. And stay away from poison oak. But if that happens, a good antihistamine will relieve the itch.
