Eggs look beautiful on the outside, but what's underneath the shell is just as important. Hard-boiling eggs can be a tricky process; you always get a few that crack when boiling, and that's a waste. Adding a tablespoon of vinegar to the water should prevent the whites from running out if they should crack, but throwing a teaspoon of salt into the mix could keep them from cracking in the first place.
